HDPE frame sheet with a 6061 aluminum stay, making it comfortable and supportive throughout your climb. The pack also carries all sorts of equipment, with dual loops for your downhill or cross-country skis, a tool holster that accommodates an ice axe and other tools, and a front compression pocket to secure and protect your crampons. And to make the pack particularly friendly to alpinists, the team at Osprey added all kinds of features for the serious climber, such as glove-friendly buckles, a hip belt stow that lets you tuck the hip belt out of the way while climbing, an extendible spindrift collar that keeps snow out of the pack (the collar can also be rolled up out of the way), and a bomber three-point system that provides secure big wall hauling.
